My Place – 1788

Although it was a bright and sunny day I was still feeling a bit down. I saw Barangaroo and decided to follow her. So I trudged miserably behind her and soon enough she noticed me. Barangaroo was sad about something and I asked her what it was. Sadly and slowly she said, “I am a little shallow because Mung had left me.” So I said “what about we have a cookout with lots of fish?” I was expecting for her to say, ok you go fishing, but she said the complete opposite. “Ok I’ll get the fish!” Barangaroo was waiting for a reply but what she said really steamed me up. The reason for this is because as the leader of the tribe, I should have been the one fishing, and in the blink of an eye we had a major argument.

Then, before things could get any worse, Barangaroo suggested the worse thing EVER! “We should have a dance-off! Where the judges have to guess what animal we are!” Nervously, I agreed but deep down I knew Barangaroo would win, I knew I should have let her win but I really wanted to fish. So I waited for my turn. I painfully watched her dance and get the judges attention then after what it felt like a million years of disaster, my turn arrived. I tried my best to create an emu but I just can’t dance. So when my turn ended I had to think fast.

So I said “Who will vote for me? If you do then we, then men will go fishing.” Then slowly, one by one the judges called out and voted for me. After THAT accomplishment I told Barangaroo to stay while the boys and I went fishing, after that we all (apart from Barangaroo) went fishing.
